This Privacy Policy describes how Priyanka Parashar (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Oraya mobile application, including kundali generation, compatibility reports, wallet purchases, and live chat with astrologers (the “App”).

By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information we collect

Account and profile information

  • Email address and password (if you register with email)
  • Information from Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple (such as name and email, when provided by the provider)
  • Name, gender, date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth (including city coordinates used for astrological calculations)
  • Partner details you enter for compatibility reports (name, gender, birth date, time, and place)

Chat and user-generated content

  • Text messages you send to astrologers
  • Photos, images, and audio files you choose to send in chat (with your permission to access camera, photos, or audio files on your device)
  • Chat session metadata (timestamps, session status, billing duration)

Reports and app activity

  • Kundali and compatibility report inputs and generated report data
  • Wallet balance, purchase history, and transaction ledger entries
  • Region and currency preferences

Device and technical information

  • Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) push notification token
  • Basic device and app information needed to deliver notifications and operate the App (e.g. platform, app version)
  • Locally cached data on your device (e.g. astrologer profile images, wallet plan cache, session preferences)

Payment information

  • In-app purchases are processed by Google Play or Apple App Store. We receive purchase tokens, order IDs, and product identifiers to verify purchases and credit your wallet. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

2. How we use information

  • Create and manage your account
  • Generate Vedic kundali and compatibility reports
  • Connect you with astrologers and deliver chat services
  • Process and verify in-app purchases and maintain your wallet
  • Send push notifications about chat messages and service updates (with your permission)
  • Improve reliability, security, and customer support
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

  • Service providers that help us operate the App, including Google Firebase (authentication, database, cloud storage, cloud functions, and push messaging), Google Play / Apple for payment verification, and our kundali computation services
  • Astrologers you chat with, to the extent needed to provide the service (e.g. your name, birth details relevant to the consultation, and chat content)
  • Legal authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security

4. Data storage and security

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure (primarily Google Firebase / Google Cloud). We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

5. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Chat archives and reports may be retained according to our operational and legal requirements.

6. Your choices and rights

  • You may update profile information in the App (My Profile)
  • You may disable push notifications in your device settings
  • You may delete your account from the app (side drawer → Settings → Delete Account). See our Account & Data Deletion page for details
  • Depending on your location, you may have additional rights (access, correction, portability, objection). Contact us to exercise them.

7. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. International transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including where our cloud providers operate data centers.

9. Third-party links

The App may contain links to third-party websites or social profiles. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
